Bonjour, Oui!
I live in France, so I know some French. To be honest, my French is not as good as it should be so I go to class twice a week and even though I live here I don’t actually meet that many French people in my day to day life because of the pandemic so I don’t get much opportunity to practice. But now things are opening up hopefully that will all change.
At school I didn’t do French, I took German instead and I was pretty good at it but wish I had taken French now!
My family are from Gujarat, India and I can speak Gujarati relatively well. I did learn French in school but it was one of the subjects I was not great at. I wish I knew the importance of learning at least one other European language for when you’re older as it makes things easier. Then, I would have tried a little harder at it

Ja, natürlich! Schðn guten Morgen! I lived in Germany for a number of years so I had to learn to do science and manage a laboratory team in German. That was 20 years ago but I still speak, read and write it! Einen schðnen Tag wünsche ich dir!
I don’t really speak any other languages.
I have tried but languages aren’t really my thing. I am trying to learn Welsh though.
There is a region of the brain called Broca’s area which is associated with languages – maybe I need to work on this area!
