I live in London with my wife and 3 fur babies (🐕 and 🐈🐈). All of our pets are named after famous scientists (Marie Skłodowska Curie, Sir Isaac Newton, Johannes Kepler). I thought beans and toast for breakfast was the weirdest thing until I tried them here in the UK and now I love it! My favorite movie is Braveheart followed by the Lord of the Rings. My pronouns are he/him.

To make these materials we use high voltage equipment ⚡️, strong solvents, and high temperatures 🔥.
The materials are then evaluated for their material properties (stiffness, surface chemistry, swelling, strength 🏋️♀️, biocompatibility, etc).
We then perform mock surgeries on cadavers to determine the surgical strategy for implanting the devices.

My Typical Day:
I wake up, make a coffee, go to the gym (1 hr), cycle to the lab (15 min), and begin running experiments by 8:30 am. The experiments may be mechanical 🏋️♂, biological 🧫, electrical ⚡️, or chemical 🧪. I usually leave work after mid-day and take all of my data home and process it in the comfort of my flat with my 3 pets and wife.
