Question: why do you like art?

I love creating things and understanding things which is probably why I like science. Science and Art are similar in that you see the beauty in creating!

But when I had to choose between Science or Art as a career I chose Science. I can do art my self in my own house. I can not do science very easily at home. Once I stop studying chemistry I would slowly loose touch with the research but thats not the same with Art. So I still paint and sculpt at home. I find it very relaxing. I like to paint something each year and then when i look at them I remember the time and what I was doing. I am going through a David Hockney phase at the moment. Painting brightly coloured Yorkshire landscapes of the village I grew up in.
