• Question: what do you enjoy about being a chemist

      I love the ability to be able to make molecules that can control living things and solve problems.
      I also love the process of working out how to build up molecules, seeing what works and what doesn’t and then when you get there its really satisfying to be able to make something physical (usually a white powder) that you can test and generate new results with.
      For me as well, chemistry just seems to make sense in a way that other sciences dont so much. I find chemical structures and reactions really intuitive whereas I need to think a lot harder to understand mathematical equations.
