It’s the Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy which is a bit funny because “Canis Major” means “greater dog” but at the same time is a dwarf galaxy (way smaller than the Milky Way).
Canis Major is the nearest dwarf galaxy, 25 thousand light years away. The Andromeda Galaxy is the nearest spiral galaxy, about 2.5 million light-years from us.
