• Question: Would graphene be a suitable material for smartphones and planes

      We don’t know yet. It is being looked at in aeroplanes as part of the carbon fibre composite used in planes like the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350. Some people think it might be useful in helping protect the planes from lightning strikes. In smartphones, it might have a role in some of the circuits or even in helping to make the batteries last longer. People are trying both of these things at present.
