      I like being able to design a new molecule that no one has ever made before and then going into the lab and being able to make it for the first time ever.

    Making new things and proving that you have made them! I also like the fact that chemistry is everywhere and so versatile. I can be looking at cancer cells under a microscope or mixing chemicals to make tiny magnets or waiting for a message from a Mars rover to see if life has been found in a rock sample on a different planet! Amazing!
